Regards to Broadway is The Arts Barn’s lively musical salute to the best of Broadway, featuring songs and scenes from beloved shows like 42nd Street, The Wiz, and Kiss Me Kate. Performed by talented local students in grades 6–12, the production celebrates the energy, variety, and timeless appeal of American musical theatre, bringing classic show tunes and vibrant choreography to life on stage.
All auditionees must be in grades 6-12.
Registration will open after the cast and crew list is released. Participants must audition to be eligible for the Regards To Broadway. If cast, participants will be emailed registration information.
The cost of participation in Regards To Broadway is $150 charged after the cast list is released. This includes the cost of instruction and costuming. Scholarships are available.
Participants must be available for:
Wednesdays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Daytime rehearsals on September 27th and October 18th all at The Arts Barn.
Additional rehearsals may be called for solo roles.
Participants will be responsible for providing:
A water bottle (we will have jugs to refill - we will NOT provide individual water bottles)
Tennis shoes for all rehearsal days (we will be doing a lot of moving and dancing)
As soon as you know what your performance shoes will be, bring those as well (our costume coordinator will communicate with you during the intensive).
A healthy, well-rested self
Auditions for Regards to Broadway are open to performers in grades 6th-12th. Auditions will take place at 5:00pm on Wednesday, August 27th in The Arts Barn's rehearsal space (100 Ulysses Rice Ct -- behind The Plaza Arts Center). Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and jazz shoes. If you don't have jazz shoes, tennis shoes will work.
There will be 2 parts to the audition, singing and dancing:
Singing: Please prepare ONE of the audition selections. Auditions will be performed along with the instrumental track. Lyric sheets are also available in the Google Drive below.
Dancing: Be dressed in comfortable clothes that you can move in and jazz shoes. If you don't have jazz shoes, tennis shoes will work. A dance combo will be taught at the audition -- just do your best!
